Did get to see 6 A10's take off on Runway #20:
HAMMER 1 (2 A10's) each took off separately down the runway
GUNHOG 1 (2 A10's) each took off separtely down the runway
CUJO 1 (2 A10's) took off together down the runway
Additionally the "Giant Talk" base wide public address system was being used
so with the car window down could hear the voice announcement on various
exercise condtions, etc.. Also heard were some explosions, observed red
smoke, & monitor a variey of exercises affecting the radio nets. Basically
used the BC296 for known/discovered (inputed) frequencies & the 780XLT in
search mode.
No other hobbyists were "On Scene" while I was there.. Guess you could say I
was "an Army of One"!!! ;)
