[MilCom] RE: Log/Activity Posting Apathy?

 This is an interesting point.

I'd love to be able to post all sorts of interesting
things to this list. One problem - there is *rarely*
anything all that particularly interesting that happens
in the skies over west central Indiana. :-)

Could I sit and listen to HF ad infinitum and post
about who sent what coded message by what method?

Yup.

Why? Other guys have this VERY well handled, about the
only thing that I could contribute in this regard would
be to add comments on signal strength at my location, or
something like that. More than likely, 95% of the readers
here would NOT be all that interested.

Some of us get more out of this group by reading the
information posted by those who DO have the time or are
able to MAKE the time. Certainly, I do post now and then
to either pass info, argue a point or crack a joke. But
otherwise, I have no need to clog up the works.

I think we have less of a case of apathy here than we have
a lot of people who are short on time, live in boring
locations, or can't add anything to the reports of others.

I hope that all the folks who ARE able will keep it up, and
when any of the rest of us ARE able to send something
worthwhile we can add to the group's knowledge.

Duane
Indiana

I sympathize with you Ken, I personally don't have a lot of time to log with
kids, work etc, I don't use a recorder but may in the future.
I would love to have the time and equipment to monitor more and submit to
the list.
I do log and submit when I have the chance though.
