Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing Near Air Force Base

A helicopter from Whiteman Air Force Base made an emergency landing
Wednesday.

The helicopter was on a training flight when the two pilots on board smelled
smoke in the cockpit, officials said.

The pilots made an emergency landing about seven miles southwest of the
base, near Burtville.

The pilots are OK, officials said.
