Hello All,

I read your posting. I didn't notice any extra contrails (but I wasn't really looking) nor did I hear anything on WTAM but I did notice during my lunch while monitoring the Aerial Refuling frequencies some unintelligable comms. It sounded like I had the wrong mode selected and someone was talking.

The AR freqs are in AM so I double checked and I did have the correct freq in the correct mode. At one point I thought that I heard what sounded like an FM broadcast radio station's commercial. Like I said it was hard to understand. If it was FM then that would explain the "wrong mode" type garble.

Additionally, I just happened to be recording ( http://www.xcorder.com )at my home PC and when reviewing the wav file, I heard some referrences to a tanker spilling/leaking fuel and someone asking a pilot to clarify what he saw. It was tough to hear both sides of the comm.

Unfortunately, I don't have a way of knowing what frequency being used at the various times when playing back my wav recordings. But the most active seem to be the AR, NORAD and UHF ARTCC freqs.

If you would like to email me off line, please do so at KC8WLZ at adelphia.net

I hope that this helps!

Take Care,
Mark/KC8WLZ/Cleveland Ohio
