VEX is a CANFORCE Army callsign for Penhold, AB.
This net has popped up from time to time with the following ALE
addresses and freqs:
5210.5 6961.5 6980.0 7600.0 7801.5 7976.5 8050.0 9480.0 10000.0
11163.0 11402.0 11605.0 12185.0
Obviously the only freq from below that crosses with the list above is
12185.0 so we are probably dealing with two nets with some cross over or
it is a lot bigger than originally observed.
What I have and my best guesses at this point:
ALE-700 CAN Army 700 Comm Squadron Borden,
ON
ALE-705 CAN Army 705 Comm Squadron
Hamilton, ON
ALE-763 CAN Army 763 Comm Regiment Ottawa,
PQ
ALE-CHH700 CAN Army 700 Comm Squadron Borden,
ON
ALE-CHM721 CANFORCE Unknown
ALE-CHM722 CANFORCE Unknown

ALE-CIP76 CANFORCE Unknown
ALE-CIP700 CAN Army 700 Comm Squadron Borden,

ALE-VDD CAN Army Debert, NS
ALE-VEK CANFORCE Unknown
ALE-VEW470 CANFORCE Unknown

ALE-VEX CAN Army Penhold, AB
SO there is my input Ron, maybe a hole or two filled as best I can.
Maybe someone else has a more complete picture of these Canadian ALE
nets.

All,
There's been some sort of Canadian Military communications exercise
underway
since at least 0000 UTC last evening. So far I've logged them on :
08190.0
09125.0
10153.0
11131.0
12185.0
Calls I've noted are:
CIG847
CIP66
CIP66A
CIP67A
CIP68A
CHM721
CHM724
VEK
VEW470
VEW474
VEX
Perhaps some of our neighbors to the North can help with some of the
unit
idents.
