Unable to send this as it was developing.
A little more than 24 hrs ago perhaps an historic event occurred
or at least one to go down in the annals of Tomcat history.

The static McGuire KC-10 showbird ramped at Nellis did well to
deliver the Langley east coast F-15 demo team to KLSV for the
 weekend show.

On the return flight home however things changed.
"Opec 77", flight of six comprised the two Langley F-15's:
("First 81, First 71") and at least 3 of the four Oceana F-14"s.
Not sure which of the 3 Gunfighters completed the cell. However
"Gunfighter 100,101,105 and demo bird 165 were present.

"Opec 77 Flight" departed Nellis on 273.55, 124.95 with a quick
handoff to LA center on 124.2 for request on AR block and first
tanking. Clearance destination for "Opec 77 Flight" was HVQ. This is
listed as a vortac fix somewhere in (Charleston?) West Virginia.

I sure hope one of the boom operators or somebody photographed this
event since it may be one of the last times Eagles and Tomcats refuel
from the same tanker as a flight. Surely it will be the last time these
two east coast demo teams fly home together!

 Absolutely one to remember!
