Here is info on what you refer to as "orderwire"
The orderwire is just the main freq used for setup of the other channels as
well as the usage of Milsat
339.55 is not a current freq in use for any known "orderwire", but who knows
Neither is 237.7, 271.65 or 254.675
These freqs do not fit into the DAMA U/L or D/L for UHF FO Milsats either
I am preparing to reconfigure my Milsat website

Subject: [MilCom] Unusual freq hits.
Folks, I just had something kind of interesting happen with my scanner. I
figured I would go ahead and make a post to see if anybody recognized the
freqs or have seem similar patterns.
339.55 seemed to come up with an open carrier. Immediately after it stopped
the following freqs started hitting with just open squelch, repeatedly:
237.7
271.65
254.675
I have quite a few freqs in the scanner that I have previously locked out
and some of them I locked out because of the open squelch coming in patterns
like this. My scanner can be going all day with no hits on freqs for just
open squelch then all of the sudden I will have 4-5 freqs start hitting with
open squelch for about a 4-5 minute period.
Nobody but me is at home so nothing from the house should be causing this.
Had some suspicion this was Orderwire related, at least some of the time.
But like I said, when it starts, it always seems to be on several freqs.
Not a big deal, but I do see it often enough that it is becoming quite the
curiosity.
If anybody has any input on this I'd love to hear it. I am uncertain if it
is something on my end or what the case is. Maybe some time in the future I
will unlock everything I have locked out and start looking for these kinds
of patterns and the freqs involved.
