[MilCom] Niljon Super M Base

I have both the Base and Mobile versions of this antenna. The mobile
version is the best antenna I have ever used for MilAir listening while
mobile, I can't say enough about it. It also does a good job for 2m and
440 transmit but not quite as well as the Comet mobile I have for vhf/uhf
ham xmit.

Now the base is also a good antenna. Far better than the Diamond (or any)
discone! The NilJon base is my second favorite omni-directional ant for
MilAir listening. And for the size you can't beat it. My favorite
omni-directional ant for MilAir listening however is the
AntennaWarehouse.com ScanTenna. Nothing out there can beat that antenna
(however it's a little larger than a NilJon) for MilAir without going to a
directional antenna.

However I'm not impressed with 2m and 440 MHz xmit on the base NilJon, I
have a Diamond X-50 for my VHF/UHF ham station which does better. However
for what you want the NilJon is without question better than the discone
for MilAir
