Here is where we are at with the color coded freqs for the ongoing Volk
field exercises. Localy, thought to be scheduled for this Wednesday, but
exercise is thought to run to 25 June. Other VHF Tac, Volk ATC and ARTCC
freqs also in heavy use. Freqs listed as unknown are thought to be color
coded but we haven't yet figured out the names. Other colors we've figured
out the use - but not the freq.

It will be interesting to see what role some of these new freqs play after
the exercise is over. Several are within 500 Khz of older, previously used
ACM freqs for Volk - they may have changed. We had FUZZY KC-135 tankers from
New York ANG and HAPPY KC-135 Tankers from Scott AFB IL ANG working today.
HAPPY used their 277.700 CP freq for refuelling ops today, first time I've
heard that. Other players yesterday included SANDY's, VIPER's, BADGER's,
PANTHER's (F-16's), HAWKEYE's (IA ANG F-16's), GOLIATH ALPHA / SENTRY05 and
STARGATE. STARGATE mentioned a UHF ATC air relay capability. About a dozen
138-144 air tac freqs in use today. 143.625 listed above is a color coded
exercise channel. HF in use, unkn freqs. 143.625, 266.250, 276.850 and
382.950 new today.
