[MilCom] KCEF Air Show to Feature Tight Security

The Great New England Air Show will be held on August 14 & 15th, 2004,
Westover Joint Air Reserve Base, Chicopee Massachusetts.

*Westover's last airshow was held in August 2000.

*Visitors should NOT EXPECT the admittance to this year's air show to be the
same as it was four years ago.  The Sept 1, 2001 terror attacks on America
and the war on terror have changed all that.  Security will be far tighter
than ever before.  One of the air shows directors has stated "We can't be
cautious enough".

*Westover will have four gates open for entry into the show this year,
HOWEVER, there will be two large parking areas, both well away from the main
flight line (which basically means the area north of the runways 05/23 /
15/33 intersection.  Visitors will be able to take a shuttle bus OR walk to
one of the three entry control points.

At the entry control points there will be 100% inspection of all people
entering the flight line area.  In addition security cameras as well as
metal detectors, etc. will be in use.
