I heard these comms on 260.9, too. I am 20 miles north of Boston, on
the coast. They must have been close to me, because I am only using
the cheesy whip antenna on my scanner. Huntress, in particular, was
very, very loud.
Here are some other frequencies that were active, around the same time:
303.0000 - Combat Air Patrol refueling ops. Comms included discussion
about a landing gear issue with a party on the ground.
311.0000 - "Bangor Ops, we have low hydrolic pressure"
321.0000 - "Lobby (or Bobby?) 8-2"
349.3000 - Airlift Command (?) Lots of informal comms on this freq.
There has most certainly been an increase in milair comms this week.
With the convention a few days away, this is not a surprise. Should be
very interesting scanning when the convention is actually on.
