Hi Folks,

First apologies for delay in posting, got home this morning at 0200 and
then found that my e-mail and broadband had gone belly up and only just
sorted out the problem.

Took a visit to Lakenheath yesterday to try and find the Reaper ops
freq. In that I failed dispite seaching the bands for a few hours,
however did confirm quite a few frqs in the meantime.

One very interesting conversation was heard, my scan stopped on 243.425
and it was "Aircraft 583" calling "Lakenheath Ground for a radio check"
but getting no reply. A couple of minutes later he came up on the ground
freq 231.425 and asked for a radio check and then asked the ground
controller what 243.425 was for. He was advised she didnt know. Later he
kept blowing into his mike and got told off for using an active freq for
his tests and to stop blowing into the mike on grounds freq. As a side
note when someone does that where I work I normally reply "Station
playing steam trains, you are loud and clear"

Also of note
241.00 two RAF aircraft A/A, had that down for a poss Coningsby A/A so
might have been two Typhoons playing?
257.20 and 314.05 Lots of Spanish nattering, presume off NOMAD workers.
365.85 Bolar calling HIGHWAY, which I understand from a post on the DRMG
group is the mobile unit of BANDBOX.
123.60 Cambridge approach working NETHERLANDS Airforce 33.
