Hello Greg & the Group:

Interesting why they would pick a U2 Ops frequency AM to use (probably
because they are clueless to what frequencies the radios are operating on
anyways!!!). I wonder if the U2's are able to switch modes to FM and
monitor/talk with them OR if there's any enforcement action pending?? I
know in my area the local Army National Guard Helo ops types tell me that on
the low band VHF FM that they use they would routinely pickup folks talking
on their portable telephones. Also one of the A10 air/air is 49.85 and
around here it's highly populated with baby monitors.. normally I just use a
portable antenna attached to the scanner while mobile but recently had the
magmount on the roof and I picked up the signal for close to a mile and
there were plenty of signals even in a fairly rural area.
