I have used an IBM T30 for recording audio through the line input. But let
me caution that the external switching power supply is noisy as hell and
corrupts the audio badly. Thus, I have had to do all of my recording on
battery power only. I would tend to believe that this may be true for other
computers also but have no hard evidence to say that this is definitely
true.
Best of luck in your endeavor.

Subject: [MilCom] Digital Decoding Question
I am thinking of picking up a laptop for the shack to
run digital decoding software. This usually requires a
connection from the line out jack of the receiver to
the line in jack of the computer sound card. I know
laptops come with mic in and headphone out jacks, but
do they typically have line in jacks?
Thanks in advance for all help.
