Dear Ken,
I have decided to unsubscribe from this group. I for one reside in the
UK and can offer no postings of stateside comings and going at all. I
viewed Milcom as a group of persons with a similer interest sharing
information when able. Its clear I'm regarded as a lurker in your eyes.
As one member pointed out not everyone has the time to post and no doubt
theres a thousand understandable reasons why as well.
I regret that the attitude of this message and the SHOUTING does not fit
in with my ideas any group. I myself publish my freqs lists to various
groups in the UK. This group has no files section so I offered to send
them privately to anyone interested when I joined and while only a few
persons took up that offer I would still would do it today regardless.
Please feel free to view and download them from www.fightercontrol.co.uk

Subject: [MilCom] Research Information Availability/Postings & Other
Lists
Well after pondering a bit, I've decided that AT THIS TIME that my US
IFR
Supplement research/summmary reports WILL NOT BE DISTRIBUTED TO ANYONE,
whether they are very active poster or a in the shadows lurker -- I'm
going
to work it into a better format, taking more time --- perhaps it will be
available sometime after the holidays & it WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO
EVERYONE WHO WANTS IT. If you folks search the archives (April 2004) of
the
list you will see a previous posting of most of what I would have been
posted this time around anyways, albeit there's probably been some
changes -- haven't had the time to analyze this. So now all of you can
be
angry at me!!!!
As far as the US IFR Supplement research, for those folks that can't
wait or
want to research & post the information. You can use the search function
in
acrobat reader with the following terms (searched individually) that
will
yield some very good information: "ARNG OPS", "ANG OPS", "COMD POST",
"FLT FOLLOWING", "FLIGHT FOLLOWING", "MEDEVAC OPS", "PTD", "PMSV",
"RANGE",
"RANGE CONTROL". There may be other terms & a better way to extract the
information depending upon the software available to you
AGAIN, I like to emphasize to all of you, that the list is only as good
as
what ALL, again ALL 'enrolled'/'subscribed' hobbyists decided to submit
to
the group -- ideally an OCCASIONAL (as in once a month) logging would
be
great. There's many areas of the country we don't get reports from.
Very
simple summary format: CALLSIGN (acft type if known), LIST OF ACTIVE
FREQUENCIES MONITORED during the report period (and description of
frequencies) -- very easy to record and report!!!
You will continue to see my monthly logging summaries as in the past, as
my
commitment to this list; and of course and occasional editorial to get
you
lurkers all fired up!!!!
Also again, BEST WISHES FOR A HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON TO ALL!!!!
