OH Shawn, the real threat to operations & national security is those that think they should censor everything we post or do.  If the Marines were not interested in making the public aware of these exercises, they would not be spending thousands of dollars to insure that the public is aware of what is going on (they might be afraid of running into something that resembles the happening in Austin when the police were outgunned by the tower sniper & the locals used their deer rifles to keep the death rate down. But that also happened when this was a completely free republic as well.)  Besides people seem to get upset when there are unexplained sounds of rounds going off in their neighborhood.  
off my soapbox more interesting to listen to a KC-135 refueling an E-3 somewhere that now nobody will know about but myself!
