It is Sunday morning, 12:43am EDT (0443z), and I am hearing a steady
stream of acft arriving at MacDill AFB which seem to be evacuees from Charleston
AFB, in the path of the big tropical storm.
     Since 11:30pm Saturday, I have heard AirEvac 03, AirEvac 04, AirEvac 05,
AirEvac 06 and AirEvac 08, all C-17s arriving at MacDill. They are all
announcing "no-cargo" and "no pax," except two which had three pax.
Their inbound messages to Lightning Ops sound nothing like the typical
Med Evac flight messages. Gotta be planes being sent to get out of the way.
I am hearing them on Jax Ctr freqs (135.45), as well as Tampa Approach
(118.8) and MacDill Tower (123.7) freqs, in addition to Lightning Ops (311.0).
