CNN & Fox Cable are having extensive coverage on increased security being
immediately implemented for certain buildings in NYC area (e.g. Stock
Exchange, Prudential Financial & IMF Washington DC etc.), CAP is up NYC
271.0 and I'd asssume Washington DC will be up shortly.

Interesting to note is that Dept Homeland Security government officials some
how think & are stressing that the private sectors response (read 8.00 hr
security guards (may old retirees)) are actually going to be a good defense
against possible building attacks.. Surely an $8.00/$10.00 an hour guard
would be willing to give his life for the corporation wouldn't he???

BTW the government's security budget for the Democratic Convention came in a
bit lower than expected. It was budgeted for $50 million, and I think that
actual costs will be $48 million.. Just about every state agency in MA
(and from many law enforecment personnel from other New England states as
well as EVERY federal law enforcement agency with so many command post
vehicles, it was just amazing!!!!) had their folks on 'overtime' supporting
this operation

Well I guess we are winning the war on terrorism aren't we? A 4 day
convention cost us $48 million. What do you think this NYC/Washington DC
alert is going to cost us?? (How many more $$$billions can we really
afford?).

Well I got to get back to my bunker and watch my TV's as well as monitor on
the scanner about what's going on!!!
