<New Orleans - Friday>
*Times CDT
10:30
148.125 - OAKGROVE (victor):
DRAGNET working JAZZ 1-4 (F-15 NAS N.O. JRB) and SWIG 1-3 (F-16 AL ANG 160 FS/187 FW Dannelly Field, AL) as red air.
JAZZ Tactical - 296.5
SWIG Tactical - 320.6
JAZZ 1-4t also on air refueling track AR-302 (366.3/260.2) with DIXIE 31 (KC-135R AL ANG). I think SWIG flt used AR-101 (324.6), but they were too far out and weak.
10:37
381.8 - USCG Air Ops:
CG 6507 (HH-65B) Patrolling New Orleans Riverfront. (Would later participate in SAR on Mississippi River for worker that fell off the Crescent City Connection bridge - not found).
20:37
338.25 - Houston Center, Lafayette Low:
CAJUN 98 flt of two (A-10 926th FW/706th FS NAS N.O. JRB) direct WARRIOR MOA (Camp Shelby, MS) for night live fire. Advised by Hou Center MOA is open for live fire until 03:00 local.
CAJUN 98 and wing man up on:
139.975 - CAJUN V-18
139.825 - CAJUN V-20
138.425 - GROUND HOG CP
*CAJUN 98 related story to wing man of a large bird strike while on WARRIOR range two days ago. Front canopy didn't break, but "bird yuck" all over it to where he couldn't see forward. Had to use side view through canopy for reference when landing back at NAS New Orleans.
