[MilCom] 785 First Impression -Not Good compared to 780.

I just got 2 BC 785's today.   Since there isn't much miller activity in 
the evening I'm doing some comparing in the Civil Air band (108-136MHz).

First test didn't do very well.   Example, on the 780's I can receive the 
ground side of a Tower on 120.300MHz that's located about 30 miles away. 
This would be Sanford Tower for those in the area. On the 785's I can't 
hear the tower even with squelch wide open.

This test involved using the same antenna feeding 2 785's and 1 780 via a 
Stridesberg Active multicoupler so I know its not a difference in 
antennas.   Tried a few other air freqs with similar disappointing results.

Tomorrow I'll try some UHF MilAir freqs and see what happens.

I would like to hear from others that have both a 780 and 785 and hear your 
thoughts on the AM (108-136 & 225-400 MHz) sensitivity comparisons.
