[MilCom] 1.5 V rechargeables?

I run my Sony SC1 1.2v 1200mAh AA Energizer Accu-Rechargables (NiMH) and
it operates fine with no noticble difference from regular alkalines. I
would expierment with differnet brands and mAh levels, or maybe the set
of batteries you got are just lemons.

Is anyone aware of 1.5V NiCD or NiMh rechargeables? Real rechargeables,
not the Energizer alkaline ones. My Sony SC-1 won't run on 4 AA's
putting out only 4.8V.
