[MilCom] USCG with VHF Low on Helos??

Last night I heard a CG rescue from Galveston on 157.05.  The operator asked
the pilot to contact South Cameron Hosp in Cameron, La on 37.9 Mhz.

The pilot asked him to repeat the freq and heard read out again 37.9 Mhz (this
is the correct freq BTW).

Never heard a call or if they were successful on the contact, and the ship
diverted to Chennault Field in Lake Charles anyway.

Q:  Do CG helos have VHF low capability?

I know some cutters do with the MXF-430 radio.
