Per TV News: NASA has lost direct communications with the International  
Space Station (ISS), and can only communicate with the ISS every 90 minutes 
via  a Russian station.

I am looking at  Canoe 04 right now as he is in the pattern here at Patrick 
AFB.  Tail  number is visible; it is 97-0100.

10:05pm EST:   Hire 71, a C-17A from McChord AFB just requested a  
touch-and-Go at Patrick AFB and was refused because it is after 10:00 pm.   They had 
been advised by Patrick Ops on 311.0 that the tower would be open til  
midnight.
  The tower operator advised that although the tower is open til  
midnight, they do not allow visitor aircraft to do touch-and-goes after 10:00  pm. 
Tower handed him off to Orlando Departure.
  So the pilot explained this to Orlando Departure and said they  would be 
heading back to McChord.
  Something seems wrong with this.

I have just uploaded three interesting photographs I took of  USMC MV-22B 
Osprey BuNo 165845 "Storm 11" during the last Cocoa Beach Air  Show, 23 Sept 
2012.

The first photo shows the Osprey approaching Patrick AFB.
The second photo shows the plane in horizontal forward flight with its  
rotors in the "propeller" position.
The third photo shows the rotors transitioning to the horizontal mode so  
the plane can land like a helicopter.
