I never claimed to be a lawyer.  Release of the message was authorized -
PUBLIC release, despite Mr. Bethman's claims of expertise to the contrary.

Listmembers are entitled to know, I think, that Mr. Bethman followed up his
public reply with a personal attack sent directly to my email address in
which he lists some "credentials" of his own - and accusing ME of "blowing 
[my] own horn."
