Yeah, I know it seems I was drinking something strange in my ice tea but this
afternoon in was searching thru the "ARINC" portion of the civil aviation
band and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. An aircraft, "Golden Knights
607," was working a station I couldn't hear ("Ring Leader") coordinating entering
airspace "coming in hot" and "ready to deploy jumper to coordinate with the
Star Spangled Banner.." The exchange between the two lasted about 15 minutes and
involved exchanges regarding windage, streamer drops, and several passes
dropping jumpers. All this on 129.950.

I monitored the frequency for several hours afterward and heard nothing else
similar to this, so it must have been one-time coordinating an airshow opening
ceremony or other special event. I haven't check the Golden Knights master
schedule to see where they might be performing close enough to be heard in the
west Chicago suburbs using an outside antenna about 25 feet above the ground.

Anybody else catch this or know the location of "Golden Knights 607" today?

Another reason we should never say never.....?????
