[MilAir] Painting Discone ???

I've recently moved and I'm working on planning my new antenna lay out.
I'd like to have my antennas not so visible.
Anyone have any experience or info on painting and 
what type of paint to use.
Also wondered if this has much affect on the antenna's
performance.
Know this is not particularly on topic but, always like
your inputs.

  I have had to tone my antennas down due to neighborhood
rules against antennas. I painted both my Nil-Jon Omni-W
and Diamond Discone flat black with non-metallic Krylon
and have seen zero difference in coverage. If you have 
trees in your yard it helps, from the street the trees
behind and infront of the antennas help them blend into
the shadows. Camo depends on your surroundings so try and
blend in to the background. Even on open skyline the
flat black does help tone down appearances. The other 
major factor is where you put your antenna, I'am lucky
my surrounding neighbors don't care so I only have to
keep clear from noisy pricks driving past the front.
