List of WEST MICHIGAN HAM NETS http://w8lrc.org/net_calendar/ IRA REPEATER SYSTEM via Tom KB8TYJ: Thanks to the cooperative efforts of the IRA technicians, and the Big Rapids Area Amateur Radio Club, the northern part of the IRA link system is once again operational. Specifically, as gathered from recent nets and general system activity, the Big Rapids, Ludington, Cadillac, Traverse City, and Vanderbilt links now appear to be working.. The status of the Mount Pleasant link is still not totally clear. I ask all net controls to continue to give us reports from the northern links, so we can trouble-shoot any issues, and make further adjustments. Volunteers of the IRA spent many hours planning and working on the move with a wide variety of groups. These have included the tower installer, and the Big Rapids Area Amateur Radio Club, with whom we share the repeater location. The cost of this unplanned move to the IRA was over $4200. We are asking all hams that use, listen to, or support the IRA link system to make donations to this project. The IRA is a 501(c) 3 organization and your donations are tax deductible. Visit http://www.w8ira.org to make a PayPal donation, Please include ?Big Rapids tower? in the Pay Pal comments and include your name / call to be included in the donor list. Or checks payable to ?Independent Repeater Assoc., Inc?, include ?Big Rapids tower project? in the memo area.
