This is a very fun event to work. The list of volunteers needs to be submitted this week, so please if you are able to assist please sign up sooner rather than later. Food and a T-shirt will be provided. *Come out and have some fun while serving the community.* Detailed information will be going out this weekend to everyone who has signed up. We are just under 2 weeks away from the2015 Mud Run. This year's event is Saturday August 29th 7:30 AM - 1 PM at the Kentwood Community Church located at 1200 60th St. We are in need of volunteers to assist in monitoring runner safety. We have an number of people signed up, but we still need 10 - 15 more people to help out. If you are able to help out please sign up at http://vrm.cc/mudrun Events like this are a great opportunity to get public exposure for the group. Our primary duties will be runner safety. We will position personal along the course to monitor the runners. We may also be called to perform other functions if necessary, but only if they do not interfere with our primary task. Most positions will be stationary posts. If you wish to bring a chair to sit in while monitoring the course you may. Please remember that many of the positions will be in the sun, so remember to bring proper protection. Food will be provided. If you don't know what the mud run is check out the web site. http://www.eatdirtmudrun.com/ This is a 5K run that has a number of obsticles, many of them involve mud, This is a fun event to work. The participants of this event ary crazy (in a good way). Many of the runners dress up on costumes for the event. Come out and serve the community and have a good time while doing it.
