Fellow hams,

On June 28th and 29th.(Yes on the holy day for hams -field day) The Coopersville and marne railroad will be host a steam engine to pull the train. they are in need of volunteers that can provide eyes and ears along the 8.5 mile route, help keep people off the track, etc and above all communicate. only one group i can think of meets that need - HAMS!

i'm look for 10 -14 hams on saturday starting at 08:00 ish going to 5pm and sunday 09:00 ish going to 5pm.
may get a free train ride out of it and or even a chance to drive a real loco...
if some one what to get very creative - you could set up a field day stations, have tons of public, GOTA would be a great and may be even point for mobile.
you could also work part of this time and still make your field location

what'ca say? can we show what we can do - field day is to be a field op showing our capabilities to operate under adverse conditions and a moments notice
