[MIham] Help needed for Mud Run

The 2014 Mud Run is Saturday August 23rd at the Kentwood Community Church located at 1200 60th St. We are in need of volunteers to assist in monitoring runner safety. Because of the duration of the event we have two shifts available or if you wish you can work both. If you are able to help out please sign up at http://vrm.cc/mudrun If you are not a licensed ham radio operator and would like to help please feel free to sign up, we will still be able to put you to work. Events like this are a great opportunity to get public exposure for the group. Our primary duties will be runner safety. We will position personal along the course to monitor the runners. We may also be called to perform other functions if necessary, but only if they do not interfere with our primary task. Most positions will be stationary posts. If you wish to bring a chair to sit in while monitoring the course you may. Please remember that many of the positions will be in the sun, so remember to bring proper protection. Food will be provided.



First shift is looking good, but we are still in need of 8 - 10 more people to fill possitions for the second shift.


Shifts run 

1st: 6:30 - 11:00

2nd: 10:30 - 3:00


There will be breaks given durring the shifts and food will be provided.
