A reminder to everyone that tomorrow Saturday July 13th is the Rockford Area Kids Triathlon. Please be there no later than7:30. CAT1 will be there around 6:30 to setup if anyone wishes to arrive early to assist. If you have not signed up to work the event, but wish to please sign up at http://vrm.ccc/rockford. This is an official KCRACES/KCSAR event. Please remember to dress accordingly for the event. Wear you official RACES/SAR uniform, but because we will be outside in the sun all day you may feel free to wear khaki or black shorts. Water will be provided however it will most likely not be cold, so you may want to bring a small cooler with cold water. We will be posted throughout the course to monitor activities, so you may wish to bring a chair to use while at your post. Also please remember to bring and use sunscreen. We are planning on using one of the portable VHF repeaters for the event so please make sure to have the RACES frequencies programmed in you radio and have your batteries charged. Staging will be at CAT1 located at the West end of Rockford High School located at 4100 Kroes ST NE. A number of you have asked about bringing your bikes. If you wish to bring your bike you may, but other than a few designated people your positions will be stationary. If you have any questions about the event please contact Karl Palma at kpalma at kcest.org. Below is the list of people who have signed up to work the event. If you are on the list, but unable to work please let us know. If you are not on the list, but thought you were please sign up at http://vrm.cc/rockford. If you need to back out of the event Saturday please call Karl W8KRP on V1 or call 209-8615 so we know you will not be there. This is a fun low key event that helps out a great cause.
