Hi Frank (and all)
Since Direct TV decided to move the NASA channel to HD, those of us with a 3
LNB antenna now no longer receive it. NASA is still on channel 289, just in
HD!
I know that NASA administrators have registered their displease to Direct
TV, obviously to no avail! Two months have passed and nothing has changed.
Appeals to Direct TV have been ignored.
I am totally blind, love NASA and sure would like to receive the NASA TV
broadcasts. Is there any way that I can receive them without having to
convert everything to HD?
Oh yes, I can NOT put up a 5 LNB HD antenna, because I have tall trees to
the south. Currently I have the 3 LNB antenna on my fifty foot R-25G tower
at the forty foot level. But the contractor who does the work in Genesee
county refuses to install any antenna higher then a step ladder can reach!
For what it is worth, I hired Bruce's Antenna to install the 3 LNB antenna
when I had to change from my 2LNB antenna in March of this year! The
installer stood on the ground while Bruce did all of the work! I had to pay
the costs myself, naturally. The alternative was no more satellite TV!
Any ideas guys? Thanks.

> ASTEROID FLYBY: NASA radars are monitoring 2005 YU55, an asteroid the size
> of an aircraft carrier, as it heads for a Nov. 8th flyby of the Earth-Moon
> system. There is no danger to our planet. At closest approach on Tuesday
> at
> 3:28 pm PST (23:28 UT), the space rock will be 324,600 kilometers away.
> Nevertheless, professional astronomers are eagerly anticipating the flyby
