We are a month away from the River Bank Run, and we are looking for about 30
- 40 more people to help out. If you are able to help out please sign up at
vrm.cc/rbr2011

If you have not worked an event before we will team you up with someone who
has more experience. If you know a ham radio operator who might not be
receiving these emails and may be willing to help, please forward this on to
them.

CALLING ALL HAMS!!!

The River Bank Run Safety Committee once again requests all available
Amateur Radio Operators to participate in the Largest 25K foot race in
the US!   This event is huge and continues to grow.  For the last 20
or more years the Amateur Radio Community in Kent County has provided
reliable communications support for this event.  Every year our
responsibilities grow!

The River Bank Run is the event made of legends.  This is the event
your friends talk about and tell stories for years at coffee.   At the
RBR anything can happen.  From Thunderstorms to missing Children to Heart
Attacks.  This is the most fun and serious events Amateur Radio Operators
can participate in around Kent County!

Please read the following information carefully as the dates for River Bank
Run 2011 have changed!
We have 2 River Bank Run 2011 events.
#1) River Bank Run JR - Rogers High School May 11th 2011 from Approx 4PM -
9PM.  We are in need of about 20 people to assist with this event in various
positions.  From Traffic Control, To Bike Roamers, To watching specific
corners or helping out at the lost child tent.

#2) River Bank Run Main Event Pre-Meeting May 13th 2011 From 6:30 PM - 8:30
PM at KCSD 701 Ball Ave NE.  Race packets will be handed out as well as
specific assignments.  IF you cannot make this meeting please let us know at
rbrsafety at kcest.org

#3) River Bank Run Main Event - May 14th 2011 from 6:30AM - Noon /1PM.
 We need about 80-85 people in various positions at this event.
The times at various positions can change depending on where you are
stationed.  We can work with everyone's various schedules!!!
