RE: Annual meeting and Morley gathering (Separate events)

The Lowell Amateur Radio Club's "Annual" meeting / gathering is this 
Saturday, September 13. This meeting, including election of officers 
for Oct 1-Sept 30 is usually abbreviated, followed by a picnic 
gathering that all are invited to.
The meeting begins at 12 noon, followed by picnic. The picnic will be 
outdoors if the weather permits, indoors conference room if not. Bring 
your own food and drink. "The Shack" at the Flat River Outreach 
Ministries building, 11535 E Fulton Ave - HWY M-21, Lowell. West end of 
Lowell, about 1 mile west of the Lowell Meijer. Talk-in 
145.27-(ctcss94.8Hz).

An event this club have not done in a long time is a weekend campfire 
gathering. We also should do one more site cleanup at the Morley 
receive site.
Sooo, Saturday, September 20, campfire-cookout at the Morley receive 
site. Input "3800 155th Ave, Morley, Mi 49336" in your favorite maping 
software or website. Figure about 6PM, I'll provide burgers and dogs, 
bring something to pass. You might want to bring a chair as well.
Now for more details. I'll arrive with my motorhome Friday afternoon, 
and since I'm taking vacation the following week, leave when I'm good 
and ready to. Anyone else feel like a camping trip out in a rural area 
with mix of trees and open areas is also welcome to bring your gear. 
Electricity is available, bring extension cord, you'll need to bring 
water, etc. Saturday will be site cleanup, figure about 10AM start. 
Cookout / campfire at 6PM. If you have to choose, do the evening 
campfire. Not a lot has to be done during the day, we'll manage just 
fine. Anyone who was around when we first raised our antennas on the 
Morley tower remember the good time and comeradaty we had the night 
before and during the antenna work should look forward to the weekend. 
Of course, all are welcome including family, friends, guests. Talk-in 
145.27-(ctcss94.8Hz), you will have no problem accessing the repeater 
as you approach the Morley tower. I will also have my cell phone.
