To all Amateur Radio Operators
The National 24 Hour Challenge (N24HC) http://www.n24hc.org is a 126 1/2 mile bicycle route
through Barry County that takes place on the day / Saturday before Fathers Day that attracts
about 500 riders plus their support crews. Amateur Radio communications is an important part
of the logistics of this annual event taking place this year on June 16.
As I type this, the following communications positions are in need of volunteers:
CHECK POINT 2, Baseline UM Church, south end of Barry County, 10:45 AM to 1:45PM - Reports
to net control passing traffic from the check point to ground zero.
CHECK POINT 3, Delton Library, Delton, 11:00 AM to 3:35 PM - Reports to net control passing
traffic from the check point to ground zero.
CHECK POINT 5, near Yankee Springs State Park (NOT in the park, no permit required), 1:30 PM
to 4:45 PM first shift - Reports to net control passing traffic from the check point to
ground zero.
OTHER ASSIGNMENTS
The event coordinators provide shirts, limited refreshments, and Friday evening spaghetti
dinner. Please contact the Ham Radio Communications Director if you are willing to help.
