Reminder this Saturday, February 17, the 12th annual New Hams Dinner.
Those hams who are newly licensed or have moved into the area since the
11th annual dinner are treated to dinner by the Grand Rapids Amateur
Radio Association, Michigan Amateur Radio Alliance, and the Lowell
Amateur Radio Club.
And of course the rest of us are there to welcome the newcomers and
just plain have a good time.
6PM, Old Country Buffet, 785 Center Dr NW, Walker. From I-96 take the
Alpine Ave (M-37) exit #30 North to the first intersection traffic
light and turn right/East. You are now on Center Ave.
If you or you know someone who is a new ham, just meet at the main
entrance of the restaurant so the sponsoring clubs can pick up the bill.

Dinner to celebrate Bill Cahill, AD8BC, former President of GRARA. As
president, Bill was instrumental in acquiring the recent grants for the
repeater and shack upgrades, among many other initiatives. He and his
wife are being relocated to Texas by his employer. To help bid them a
proper farewell, GRARA is treating them to dinner and the rest of us
are invited to attend.
Wednesday, February 28, 6PM, at Fire Mountain Restaurant, 3725 Alpine
Ave NW, Walker.  From I-96 take the Alpine Ave (M-37) exit #30 North.
Just past 4 Mile Rd turn left into the restaurant. Lets make this a
great club send off for Bill.
