Subject: ARRL Club News for May

Hi Clubs.

The big news for May is Dayton Hamvention.

I hope that many of you will be able to make it to the event. If you
were there last year then you remember the splash that ARRL made with
the EXPO. 2005 was also the ARRL National Convention.

While this year's Hamvention is not the national convention, ARRL will
be having the EXPO event again.

* Some of the venues that will be there are the ARRL Passport where
participants will have a chance to win some really spectacular prizes,
including an Icom IC-7000 transceiver.

* The ARRL stage will have mini presentations that will begin on
the top of the hour and on the half hour. Presentation will be on many
topic including DXing, meteor scatter, ARRL lab testing and much more.

* Come and meet ARRL Section Managers and members of the ARRL Field
Organization.

* This year there will be an entirely new youth activities and
youth lounge.

* Meet your favorite ARRL authors.

* Have your QSL cards checked for DXCC or other awards. Meet the
DXer that you have worked on DXpeditions.

Hamvention 2006 is sure to be another great event and we hope to see
everyone there.
