Jeff,

Thanks for forwarding the information. It appears to me like it covers
conventional broadband wired and wireless, as I saw no reference to
power lines. It looks like the kind of broadband we have in Dundee,
provided by an ISP on 802.11xx type of RF system, not BPL or cable TV
provider services.

It will pay to keep watch on this -- most definitely.

Don't think Broadband Over Powerlines (BPL) is coming
to Michigan? Think Again!

I found a fascinating bunch of info on the State of
Michigan Website!

The governor has appointed a Michigan Broadband
Development Authority MBDA to bring broadband
throughout the state as soon as possible!

Loans, grants, technical assistance - the whole nine
yards... Ouch. We HF types are doomed!

No testing, no concerns with interference, they all
believe it is a proven technology. Move out of the
way!

Check it out at www.michigan.gov/cis then look below
under agencies, then click on MBDA - Michigan
Broadband Development Authority.

While we slept Lansing has been awake...

Good luck to us HF users.
