Duane, where does it say that the governor is pushing for BPL, as opposed
to "broad band" services such as DSL or cable systems?

The term broad band means anything faster than a modem.  In theory, an
ISDN 128K connection is "broad band", thought thats a little slow in this
day.

We have to be careful here.  If you can show concrete evidence that she (or
they) are pushing BPL I'll start making calls myself.  But to date, given the
looking I've done I have not heard anything specific about BPL.  It will look
bad for the amateur community to squawk about something that isn't
being pushed, and equally true that we're in trouble if we don't, and there
really is an effort twoards BPL.

So, please help us site what you are reading.
