DAPR, the Downtown Amateur Packet Radio Group of Grand Rapids, meets for
breakfast the
Saturday after the first Friday of each month,  at 8AM. New Beginnings
Restaurant, 1455 Michigan St NE. Use the Fuller exit (turn south) off of
I-196 then go east on Michigan.  "Talk-in" is on 146.760-(94.8Hz).  Anyone
interested in digital modes is invited to attend. Contact

West Michigan Traffic Net meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday nights at
9pm on 145.27.
Sunday session of the WMTN will be held on the link system 147.160(in the GR
Area) 9PM.
The purpose of this net is to handle NTS Traffic coming into West Michigan.
All are
welcome to check in. We also are an inlet for outgoing traffic as well.
The other net is the informal 6mtr AM net that meets every Sunday  from
8-9am. This net
originates in Grand Rapids.

The Michigan DX Association (MDXA) 2 meter net that is held every
Tuesday evening, 9PM, on the 145.270-(94.8Hz) LARC/W8LRC repeater.

Open radio room every Wednesday at the Red Cross from 7:15 to 10 P.M. Feel
free to drop in any Wednesday evening whether a club member yet or not.
Interested in 160 meters? Try out operating our full size quarter wave
vertical on 160 at the Red Cross as well as all the other bands through 70
cm. Just bring a copy of your license with you. Check out the packet
operations and ATV repeater located there as well. Contact our Tech Director
Tom Hansen, N8DGD for further information

NEXT VE TESTING WILL BE on FRIDAY January 14th at the RED CROSS at 6:30 P.M.

VE Exams are given regularly the second Friday of each month, 6:30PM, at the
Red Cross Building. More info at http://www.w8dc.org/ve.htm

All walk-ins bring photo-ID, $12 and copy of old license if upgrading. On
normal months the W8DC club station should be open after the VE tests for
all to visit as well. That is in addition to the regular Wednesday evening
open-radio-room nights. Look for new additions to the HF and VHF/UHF station
line-up and operating capabilities over the next year.
