Hi All, 	
	
Genesee County, so I thought, was switching to the new digital Coms last
evening. if so, it has not happened.	
	
What is going to be left for those with crystal controlled scanners to listen to
from 138-175 MHZ?	
	
Is the NOAA going to do this also? (groan)	
	
I have heard numerous reports of the new system being a very big waste of money,
as from the time it was engineered until the time it was put into operation, it
was already obsolete and a new system exists to replace it! i do know that where
it is operational thee pagers do not work, so they are on the old Coms calling
whomever and teling them what frequency to go talk on! Many tell me they now
hear more of what is going on than they did previously!	
	
So what do those of us with either crystal controlled scanners, or the modern
synthesized scanners, have to do to hear Central Dispatch or our local fire
departments?
