[MIham] 2003 ARRL Michigan State Convention

Greetings Hams,

I would like to send a special invitation to all Michigan ham club members
to attend the 2003 Michigan State ARRL Convention and Hamfest to be held in
Holland and Zeeland on October 31, and November 1.  Over 200 tables
available along with some great ham gear.

AND....It goes on all day Saturday

PRIZES: WOW...!!!!!   Win a one of TWO Ranger 6-meter all mode radios.,,,or
a complete mattress ensemble and many other hourly prizes.   WOW...!!! WHAT
A SHOW...!!!!

The convention begins with a banquet at the Holiday Inn  in Holland,
followed by awards presentations and a Wouff Hong.
On Saturday we move to the Zeeland East High School for one of the biggest
ham radio events Michigan has ever seen.

You can expect to see some very important people, too.  ARRL headquarters
folks will be on hand, along with section and division "biggies"...and FCC
personnel....and there are some unconfirmed possibilities at the State and
Federal level.

There will be a hamfest, of course....plus seminars and forums like you've
never seen before.

How close have you been to a US Coast Guard helicopter??  Ride out a
simulated tornado, find out how to handle hazardous materials.   Bring along
the kids and meet  USCG's Coasty the robot and Sparky the fire fighting
robot.

Wall-to-wall forums and seminars.  VE Exams, too (Get your reservation in
early - limited walk-ins.

Attend the IRLP forum and learn more about this exciting communications
project.

Oh yes, food ----- F-O-O-D ---- You have never experienced a menu like we're
putting on, at any hamfest.
