[MIham] Re HTX-404 Assistance

Greetings, 	
	
Do any of you own, or have experience with, the HTX-404 hand held 440 unit? I
believe it is identical in operation to the HTX-202 for 2 meters. 	
	
I just acquired one that was used. I have full power on the battery pack. (I
have also tried another rechargable battery pack and on the charger) When the
unit is turned on, it shows "ER-#1" and beeps every few seconds. I tried to
reset it by holding down the number 8 along with the function button and then
powering it up. It made no difference. It still shows the error and still beeps.
 	
	
I do not know what "ER-#1" means, can one of you tell me? Any ideas as to what
is wrong with this hand held?
