The following events are scheduled in the Grand Rapids area for May 2003
and beyond. Anyone interested are welcome at these events.

Friday, May 2, 7PM, at the American Red Cross building, 1050 Fuller Ave

Lowell Amateur Radio Club (LARC) is holding a donated items sale Saturday
May 3 starting 8:30 AM at the former Family Fare parking lot along Hwy
M-21 in Lowell. You can help by donating your no longer needed items

DAPR, the Downtown Amateur Packet Radio Group of Grand Rapids, meets for
breakfast the Saturday after the first Friday of each month, at 8AM. (May
3) New Beginnings Restaurant, 1455 Michigan St NE.  Anyone interested in

This May 31st will mark the 2nd running of the Great Lakes Qso Party or
(GLQP)
Unlike *single* state qso parties,we cover (8 States And 2 Canadian
Provinces)
That's over 700 Counties in the Great Lakes Region!  Our Sponsors are
ComDaC-Ham University-Ray Knuth -KB8ZYY and Bela Lindenfeld-N8SHZ. This
is the Granddady of Qso Parties for the entire region. We will award
Trophies for Phone and CW and a Copy Of Ham University on CD for 3rd
place! Another point of interest,we recognize Phone-SSB and
FM...CW...RTTY and yes..PSK 31. Other Qso parties do not cover all of
these modes but we do!
Great Lakes Stations are operators in the following US States and
