The following events are scheduled in the Grand Rapids area for July 2003
and beyond. Anyone interested are welcome at these events.

The Michigan Antique Radio Club is holding it's 18th Annual EXTRAVAGANZA
/ Convention. Open air flea market, seminars, auction, hospitality,
exhibits, etc. At the Holiday Inn South, Lansing, I-96 exit 104. No
charge for wandering flea market, $15 registration (includes family) for

The next BOARD OF DIRECTORS meeting of the Grand Rapids Amateur Radio
Association (GRARA)is Friday, July 11, 7PM, at the American Red Cross
building, 1050 Fuller Ave NE between the Ford I-196 expressway and

DUE TO THE FIRST FRIDAY falling on the Independence Day holiday, there
was no general membership meeting for July. The next meeting is Friday
August 1.
NEWSLETTER DUE DATE for the upcoming COMBINED GRARA, MARA, and LARC
newletter, GRAHamfest promotion is the August 1 GRARA meeting. This
newsletter goes yo nearly 1400 recipients. If you have an article for

The W8DC ham shack at the Red Cross building is open for use Wednesdays
7:15PM to about 9 or after. Be sure to have a copy of your license if you

DAPR, the Downtown Amateur Packet Radio Group of Grand Rapids, meets for
breakfast the Saturday after the first Friday of each month, at 8AM. New
Beginnings Restaurant, 1455 Michigan St NE. Anyone interested in digital

"The next meeting of DAPR ("dapper"), the Downtown Amateur Packet Radio
Group of Grand Rapids is Saturday, July 5th at 8:00 am at the New
Beginnings Restaurant, 1455 Michigan St NE. Use the Fuller exit off of
I-196 then go east on Michigan. "Talk-in" is on 146.760/R. Anyone
interested in digital modes is invited to attend."
