Hello All:

The 2002 Family Outing will be held on July 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th =
2002
at the Woodlands Conference Center and Camp Grounds in Lupton Michigan.  =
The
Theme for 2002 is "The Past, Present and Future".  Reservations are now =
being accepted.  There is limited space for the improved sites.

The schedule for the Outing is as follows:

Thursday July 11th, 2002

Arrival is anytime after 2:00pm.  Upon arrival, check in with Dick or =
Sandy
Mondro.
No formal meetings, meals or campfires have been organized for Thursday.

Friday July 12th, 2002

Arrive anytime during the day.  Upon arrival, check in with Dick or =
Sandy
Mondro.
No formal meetings or meals have been organized for Friday.
A mixer, get together, campfire will be started at approximately 2130
hours.  Bring a chair, your good humor and come and meet some of the =
people
who are there.

11:00 - 12:00 - Alcona and Iosco County Emergency Manager Tim London
12:00 - 13:00 - Lunch
13:00 - 14:30 - Section Traffic Manager Joe Turner, K8CQF with "History =

Amateur Radio"
14:30 - 15:30 - Mr. John Fell, Branch Chief, FEMA Region V Office (Mr. =
Fell
is not confirmed as yet)
15:30 - 17:00 - ASM John Freeman, N8ZE and SGL Ed Hude, WA8QJE with =
PRB-1
in Michigan
17:00 - 19:00 - Spaghetti Supper
19:00 - 20:00 - All Michigan Section Staff with "Get to know your
Leadership"
20:00 - 21:00 - Mixer and Social Period
21:00 - ????? - Campfire and Social with special entertainment

Note: During the entire day there will be Youth Functions and "Family =
Time".

Sunday July 14th, 2002

8:00 - 8:30 - Non-Demonimational Religious Service
8:30 - 9:30 - Breakfast
9:30 - 10:00 - Sign up for testing
10:00 - ???? - Testing
14:00 -        Check Out Time

Saturday Night:
    Spaghetti Noodles
    Meat and Plain Sauce
    Bread
    Cole Slaw
    Potato Salad
    Green Beans
    Baked Beans
    Hot Dog (Substitute for Spaghetti)
    Punch

Sunday Morning Breakfast:
    Pancakes (By Dick, W8FQT)
    Sausage
    Scrambled Eggs
    Biscuits
    Gravy
    Coffee
    Juice

Note:  On Saturday at lunch there will be a hot dog lunch available from =
the
snack bar.

Costs:
Improved Campsite (Water and electricity): $16.00 per camp site per =
night
Unimproved Campsite:  $12.00 per camp site per night
Bunkhouse Lodging in Conference Center (or Log Cabin if needed) $15.00 =
per
person per night
One day visit: $5.00 per person
Spaghetti Dinner:  Age 15+ $5.00  Age 5 - 15 $2.00  Age 5 or less Free
Breakfast Sunday:  Provided by the Michigan Section Staff - By Donation

Note:  To help cover the cost of the building rentals, etc. there will =
be
donation cans available  an auction of left over food and other "fund
raisers" during the weekend.

Anyone needing detailed directions to the Family Outing may contact =
Dick,
W8FQT, Debbie, KA8YKK, John, N8ZE, Lyle, AB8CB or Sandy, KG8HM.

This is a Family Outing and any and all are invited to attend.  There is =
no
requirement to be an Amateur Radio Operator to be there.  There are 200+
beautiful acres at the Woodlands with Nature Trails, Wildlife, 2 Lakes,
fishing, boating (no power motors), canoeing and hiking.  The Family =
Outing
will be the only program at the Conference Center at that time; we will =
have
full use and privileges of the whole grounds.  There are clean bathrooms =
and
showers in the camping area and there are plenty of showers and =
facilities
in the Conference Center.  The Conference Center can sleep approximately =
40
people in a bunk style setting.  We have use of the full Conference =
Center
which has a fully equipped kitchen and coolers.
