TRANSMITTER HUNT, Saturday 27th, gathering begins at 1PM,
the hunt begins promptly at 2PM. Every or no skill levels welcome. If you
don't have direction finding equipment, come out anyway and hitch a ride
with a DF team. Meet at Lowell High School, West parking. After the hunt,
meet at Manchino's restaurant along Main St/HWY M-21 in Lowell. Manchinos
is a pizza / sub shop using an order window / pick up window with plenty
of self serve seating. Talk-in on 145.27- ctcss94.8. We've all heard the
"good 'ol days" stories of transmitter hunts past, join in on the "good

Of course, as part of the justification of the Amateur Radio service,
we're familiar with part 97.1(a) "Recognition and enhancement of the
value of the amateur service to the public as a voluntary noncommercial
communication service......".
