[Microwave] For Sale: OE5JFL EME Controller System

Sometime around 2015, I purchased this OE5JFL EME Controller System from the
estate of W7CS (SK).  I think Chuck purchased it as a kit, built it up in
the enclosure & intended to use it with a 5m dish but don't think he ever
got that project finished. 

 

In 2015, I purchased a 5m solid dish fm the estate of K7NII (SK) which
included a W2DRZ control system & thought I'd get the "JFL" as a backup.
Since I had the "DRZ" controller checked out & it works FB, the "JFL" is now
excess to my needs & available for sale.  I'll be going in for open-heart
surgery in about 3 weeks so thought I'd see if there's interest in this
OE5JFL system so I can get it shipped.  

 

Here's what's included:

 

1.	OE5JFL controller which can be operated stand alone or interfaced
with a computer.  It's built up in a nice enclosure & is suitable for
controlling the drive motors for a parabolic dish or large EME antenna array
system.  The microprocessor is pre-programmed with location & tracking data
for sun, moon & various other celestial objects.  The only checking I've had
time to do is plug it in, turn it on & it does boot up with v 3.1 firmware.
So, there's probably firmware updates available.  THIS IS THE ONLY TESTING
I'VE DONE & WILL GUARANTEE THAT IT BOOTS UP WITH THE TWO DISPLAYS SHOWN IN
THE ATTACHED PHOTOS.  OTHERWISE, IT'S BEING SOLD "AS IS".
2.	Two MAB 25, 12-bit absolute encoders (12 HS5 SER) for AZ & EL.  Each
is in a metal box with a knob on & cable to plug into the splitter box.
(Not tested).
3.	Splitter box with short CAT 5 cable to connect to controller.
4.	Binder (1-1/2" thick) with all the documentation I received when
purchasing it.
5.	The built-in power supply is wired for US 110 VAC & power cable is
included.
6.	A cheap VOM is included since it came with it when I received it.

 

I've already packed it up & it's ready to ship in a 16"x16"x10" heavy duty
box & weight is 14 lbs.  I will ship international but prefer CONUS due to
cost. logistics + the fact that it's wired for US 110 VAC.

 

Based on what I paid for this system, I'm offering all of the above for only
$400 + shipping fm 86323 & insurance (if desired).  Will accept PayPal -
Friends & Family or just add PayPal service charge if not F&F.  I really
don't have any idea what this is worth & I may be selling it too cheap.  In
the documentation, I saw an email with HB9DRI & thought he was involved with
selling & servicing these systems.  I sent him a couple of emails to see
what he thought it was worth but never heard back.
