Bends, corners (miters) etc. need to be measured of course. But generally speaking, working so close to cutoff, the adapters need to be redesigned, for for both coupling into the respective E/H field and also for the increase WG impedance. Motto: any arbitrary waveguide size can be used at least on one ham band. No such thing as useless waveguide size. /Michael, OH2AUE --- Kirjoitettu ajatuksella, tietokonetta ja t?ysikokoista n?pp?imist?? k?ytt?en. L?hetetty harkinnalla, kiinte?n valokuituyhteyden turvin. Ideally no more loss that UT-141 and preferably less. Any suggestions as to where I might get this without selling the house? 73 Dave, ZL3FJ From geraldj at netins.net Wed Nov 23 17:31:07 2016 From: geraldj at netins.net (Dr. Gerald N. A couple years ago at MUD I took a length of LMR-240 with crimp on Emerson SMA connectors and at the VNA it measured half the dB loss as the best UT-141 at 10 GHz. Its not horribly expensive but it does take some care to get all the foil off the cut end of the dielectric. 73, Jerry, K0CQ On 11/23/2016 2:02 PM, Dave Brown wrote: > Looking for an eight inch (~20cm) length of a flexible equivalent or > near equivalent to UT-141.
