Hi all,
I've a TEK 492 spectrum analyser that has developed a small problem. The unit is no longer supported by the local TEK agents and therefore I took it to a company who repair most test equipment.
They could not isolate the fault and I wondered if anyone out there may be able to help?
The problem is that the response is about 30db down on the higher frequency bands.
Up to 2GHz it seems reasonably accurate.
At 2.5 GHz on the 0 to 4.2 GHz range it is about 4db down.
At 2.5 GHz on the 1.7 to 5.5 GHz range it is 30db down.
I cant test accurately from 2.5 to 7 GHz but at 7 to 12 GHz it is also 30 db down.
I have checked the attenuator and this is fine up to 12 GHz.
I can't do much else as I do not have service information for the unit.
If anyone can help suggest where the fault may lie I may be able to borrow parts from a non functional unit.
If you can't help but know someone who could please pass this mail on to them !!
Perhaps you know someone at TEK that may be able to help - would appreciate anything!
Thanks and 73 / 88 to all
Dave
